My name is Abdrakhmanova Aida. I am the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Independent Tatarstan Rafis Kashapov on national and religious issues. Today, our Government is the only representative body that acts in the interests of the Tatars and Tatarstan people and is not subject to Moscow influence.
We responsibly declare that our native Tatarstan is an occupied territory and all our resources are used by the imperial Moscow without the consent of the Tatar people. In 2022 alone, Tatarstan gave Moscow more than $ 13 billion in taxes. Moreover, the Kremlin uses the enterprises of the military-industrial complex operating in Tatarstan for the production of military weapons and equipment, which is used in the war against Ukraine. The decision to build a for the manufacture of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) plant in Tatarstan was made in Moscow and the occupation “ government of Tatarstan ” has no desire to oppose this decision. This decision aims to deliberately discredit the Tatar nation and Tatarstan in the eyes of the international community, seeking to shift the share of responsibility for this unjust war of aggression and to the Tatars.
To date, 5 voluntary military battalions have been created by the Colaborant authorities of Tatarstan to send them to war against Ukraine. The hidden form of genocide of the Tatar people through forced mobilization also continues.We, as the Government of Independent Tatarstan, strongly declare that the Ukrainian people are not an enemy of the Tatar people, but rather – is a friend and ally of Tatarstan in gaining independence from the Moscow occupation regime. And the war unleashed by Moscow is a fundamental threat to peace and order. The Kremlin regime, through propaganda and skillful manipulation, seeks to hide the true face of the enemy of captive nations – that is, their own – imperial Russia.
Japan has already in its history hosted prominent political figures of the Tatar national movement such as Gayaz Ishaqi, Gabdrrashid Ibrahim and others who fled from political repressions of that time, who were engaged in geopolitics and tried to create conditions for the formation of their own Tatar state and were also able to lay the political foundations for the future existence of the territory of Idel Urals. Now we, the captive nations by the Moscow Region, are united in such political structures as the Forum of Free Nations of the Post-Russia, Free Nations League and the Free Idel-Ural, which have renewed and continue the Narratives of Prometheism at the beginning of the 20th century.
For the first time, the state of our ancestors – Volzhskaya Bulgaria was conquered in 1236. The last conquest of Kazan was more than 470 years ago by Ivan Grozny. To this day, our territories are under Moscow occupation. The Government of Independent Tatarstan officially declares that we recognize the “Northern Territories of Japan” as occupied by the Russian Federation. We know the decision of the United States of America to recognize the sovereignty of Japan over “ northern territories ”, and on the decree of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, supported by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the recognition of these “ northern territories ” occupied by Russia, Japanese territories. We welcome these decisions of the United States and Ukraine and urge the world community to take similar steps. Colonially imperial, chauvinistic policy of Russia led to, that having huge occupied territories of colonized peoples with an incredible amount of natural resources, it is not even able to establish an elementary economic order and concern for the well-being of the colonized population. Russia must be decolonized peacefully and in a controlled way! We look forward to Japan’s political, informational and other support for the decolonization of Russia.
We understand that there is a strategic threat to Japan from China, and that, for the future of Independent Tatarstan, China poses a great existential threat. Today, the economic and political expansion of China in the territory of Idel-Ural and, in particular, Tatarstan is reaching enormous threatening proportions. Therefore, our cooperation with Japan does not stop only on denuclearization, demilitarization, deimperialization and decolonization of Russia, but also has a logical meaning in the future, since further economic, China’s military and political strengthening threatens our common existence and quality values for our countries in the future!
