Details: Astra Telegram channel reported that in addition to the Ilsky oil refinery, the Afipsky refinery in Krasnodar Krai was also attacked. A drone crashed on the premises at around 04:00. Early reports indicate that there is no damage or casualties. The refineries are located approximately 21 km apart.

Another drone hit the oil refinery in the settlement of Stalnoy Kon in Oryol Oblast. The drone exploded after the fall. At the moment, there is thought to be no damage or casualties.

The Shot Telegram channel also reports wreckage on the territory of the Afipsky oil refinery.

Updated: A source in the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) said that SSU drones hit both oil refineries.

The primary processing unit at the Ilsky oil refinery with a capacity of 3.6 million tonnes per year was hit. Without it, Russia will not be able to produce military diesel fuel at this facility. The price of such a unit is US$50,000,000.

The source reports that drones also hit the Afipsky oil refinery, but the consequences are currently being clarified.

Background:

On 9 February, the Ilsky oil refinery in the Seversky district of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai caught fire, presumably because of a Ukrainian drone attack.
