A C-17 aircraft from the North Carolina Air National Guard, USA, landed at the Chisinau airport in Moldova.
American military personnel arrived on this plane in Moldova, for the Peace Shield exercise.
According to the US Embassy in Moldova, 35 military personnel from the North Carolina Guard and the US Air Force in Europe flew in. They must organize and conduct exercises for Moldovan officials.
“In cooperation with the ministries of Moldova, (the US military) are to develop the response tactics necessary to ensure the safety of Moldovan citizens in the event of emergencies,” the embassy noted.
In addition, we know that the plane delivered medical equipment to Chisinau for the Moldovan Ministry of Defence “as part of American assistance.”
“The United States is proud to work with the government and people of Moldova to create a democratic, prosperous and secure future,” US diplomats said.
