In Ufa, a plant at one of the oil refineries caught fire after a drone attack, Russian Governor of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov said, according to ASTRA reports.
According to him, the damaged installation was under repair. Previously, a drone hit it, after which a small fire broke out. Khabirov said that the damage is planned to be repaired within a few days.
Earlier, the governor of Bashkortostan reported an attack by six drones. According to him, four of them were allegedly shot down, and one fell in an industrial zone, where a fire broke out.
Another UAV, according to Khabirov, hit a residential building in the Zaton neighbourhood. Windows on the upper floors were damaged, and one person was injured and hospitalised.
ASTRA OSINT researchers determined that the house in question is located at 7 Gazi Zagitov Street. It is located approximately 15 kilometres from the industrial zone where Bashneft oil refineries operate.
Bashneft’s enterprises have repeatedly been the targets of drone attacks. In particular, on 5 August, the Bashneft-Novoil plant caught fire after an attack, on 2 August, a fire broke out at the Bashneft-UNPZ, and on 1 August, the Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim refinery burned after an attack. Attacks on the industrial zone were also recorded in early July and late June.
