Agents of the Atesh movement destroyed a communications tower near the village of Zhudersky, Oryol region, Russia. As a result of the sabotage, the Russian military lost a stable signal for controlling drones in this direction.
The partisans reported this on their Telegram channel.
What is known about the successful sabotage of “Atesh”?
According to reports, the destroyed facility was used by the occupation forces to house special repeaters. It was this equipment that ensured stable communication with enemy drones.
As a result of the system’s outage, the range of enemy aircraft has been significantly reduced. UAV operators are forced to urgently search for new positions and reconfigure operating frequencies, which creates significant delays in the performance of combat missions.
Such strikes on logistics and infrastructure systematically disrupt the coordination of enemy drones. The occupiers are forced to spend limited resources and time on repairing equipment and troubleshooting deep behind the scenes.
As a reminder, on 21 August, partisans of the Atesh movement destroyed a communications tower near Perm, which provided a backup channel for information exchange between the security of the LUKOIL-Permnaftoorgsintez oil refinery and the military covering it.
After the sabotage, coordination at the enterprise was disrupted, and later the plant was attacked by Ukrainian long-range drones. Atesh stated that the operation was carried out by a Russian serviceman who had joined the partisan movement.
In addition, in late August, agents disabled two relay cabinets on a railway in the Belgorod region of Russia. The damage blocked traffic on the section, which delayed a military train carrying ammunition and engineering equipment for the 138th Motoriіsed Rifle Brigade and the 45th Engineer and Sapper Regiment. The Russian command had to urgently change logistical routes.
