In Bashkortostan, the police drew up a protocol on an administrative offense against the organizer of the gathering of citizens in the village of Temyasovo, eco-activist Ilsur Irnazarov. On May 20, in the village of Temyasovo, Baimaksky district of Bashkortostan, environmental activists held a mass gathering of citizens against illegal gold mining. The participants demanded to prevent the development of deposits on the Irandyk ridge. The event was attended, according to various estimates, from five to seven thousand people.
A protocol was drawn up against the activist for “Violation by the organizer of a public event of the established procedure for organizing or holding a meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing. The eco-activist does not agree that he violated the law on rallies. He explained that he “notified the administration of the Temyasovsky village council about the gathering in advance and received a positive response from it.
“Instituting an administrative case on the explicit order of the administration of the Baimaksky district is a desire to punish me as the organizer of a free peaceful civil gathering, a form of expression of will guaranteed to us by the Constitution of the Russian Federation”, – said Ilsur Irnazarov.
