The wives of those mobilized from the Republic of Adygea and the Stavropol Territory complained that their husbands, without combat coordination, proper training and accompanying documents, were sent in May 2023 to fight in Ukraine under the command of the separatists of the self-proclaimed “LPR”.
Officially, the servicemen are listed as dismissed from the Russian army and therefore do not receive the payments promised by the state, although they are on the so-called line of contact. To get answers from the army command, the wives of the mobilized came to Novocherkassk, Rostov region, but they were not received there. Then they recorded a video message to President Vladimir Putin.
“The command of the “LNR” systematically threatens our husbands with executions, “zeroing.” We appealed to the military prosecutor’s office of the Stavropol garrison, the military prosecutor’s office of the united group of troops, the military prosecutor’s office of the Southern Military District, the Ministry of Defense, the reception room of the President of the Russian Federation, the Commissioner for Human Rights under the presidency – no answer. The checks did not lead to any result. There are already “two hundred”, “three hundred” and, out of desperation, “five hundred”, that is, deserters. Time passes by minutes, for us there is neither day nor night. We cannot live like this,” the wives of the mobilized say in their collective appeal.
