On October 18, 2026, in Rome, in Piazza Barberini, near the US Embassy, a protest was held against the Trump administration’s policy towards Ukraine and the actual American collaboration with Putin.
About 300 Ukrainians gathered in the central square of the Italian capital to express their protest against the “blood diesel deal” between the United States and Moscow, as well as against the actions of the United States to sabotage Ukrainian defense, such as the failure to provide intelligence data, the slowdown of Starlink, and the delay in the sale of defense ammunition.
Those present held posters in Italian and English: “Mr. Trump, Ukraine is not for sale,” “Trump, don’t help Putin kill Ukrainians,” “Russian diesel with Ukrainian blood will not help the American economy,” and others.
At the same time, the speakers addressed the American people with gratitude for their many years of support for Ukraine and with a call to demand greater support and assistance to Ukrainians from their representatives in the US Congress.
Participants in the action honored the fallen Ukrainian Heroes and fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who defend their country from the Moscow aggressor.
Ukrainian folk songs and slogans were sung along with the performances.
The event raised 2,200 euros in financial assistance for combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the first line of defense, in which members of the Roman community serve as volunteers.
The rally was organized by the Christian Association of Ukrainians in Italy Associazione Cristiana degli Ucraini in Italia
