Today I took part in a round table where, together with Volodymyr Viatrovych, I presented the position of our Temporary Special Commission on Work with the Enslaved Nations of the Russian Federation. For more than a month, we have been fruitfully working in the format of the TSC and meeting with persons from the security sector, experts and unconquered nations who actually found themselves in Russian slavery.
This time, the indigenous nations were presented by Akhmed Zakaev – the exiled Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria; Sires Bolyaen – president of the League of Free Nations, Inyazor of the Erzyan people; Aida Abdrakhmanova – member of the League of Free Nations, deputy prime minister of the Government of independent Tatarstan in exile, and Dorzho Dugarov – adviser of the League of Free Nations on international affairs, representative of the Buryat democratic movement “Buryaad-Mongol Erheten” in the EU.
Current challenges include:
to convey to Western partners that the Russian opposition is not the “good Russians” they imagine. The real opposition in the Russian Federation is primarily those ethnic groups that Russia legally occupied and destroys their culture and language;
give other countries an impetus to create associations similar to our TSC. Currently, Lithuania is ready to act in this direction, for which we would like to thank our friends and Ihor Guz for updating the issue;
increase the presence of the citizens of the agrarian region for the time being, and in the future the basis for its reintegration. There are examples of very militant Chechens who fight for their freedom and ours. And skilfully eliminate the “Kadyrivets”. There are people willing to fight for us, so we should help these people to join our fight.
The struggle with the decolonization of the Russian Federation is really just beginning. We are currently laying down our vision of this policy for both our and Western societies.
