We congratulate you as long-term comrades in the struggle for the Freedom of all enslaved nations.
The leaflet of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army addressed to the Tatars, which you see in front of you, is exactly 80 years old. In November 1943, Tatar military units began to form in the ranks of the UPA, which, together with the Ukrainians and other nations of Europe and Asia, fought against Stalin’s and Hitler’s enslavers. At the same time, the Anti-Bolshevik Bloc of Nations was created. At his first underground conference, among the 39 delegates who represented 13 enslaved nations, there were 4 Tatar delegates.
Today, during difficult trials, we again urge you to unite our efforts in the collapse of the Russian prison of nations and the creation of independent states on its ruins. After so many years of Moscow captivity and the struggle against enslavers, there is no point in talking at length about the origins of the struggle of the Tatar people for their Independence. The witness of this struggle is history itself, which has recorded your love for Freedom in numerous documents, in the folk memory of the Tatar and other nations.
Today is the time to act. The Kremlin villains turned Tatarstan into their colony. The countless natural resources of your beautiful country are being stolen. The proceeds from this go to strengthen the empire, and not to the well-being of the Tatar people. The centuries-old Tatar culture and language are being destroyed, and therefore, every year more and more Tatar children are deprived of the opportunity to study it in schools.
Putin’s Russia continues the centuries-long humiliation of your people, continuing the traditions of the Tsarist and Bolshevik empires.
By sending Tatar men and youths to a war of conquest against Ukraine, the empire is committing deliberate genocide.
Russian war criminals know well: that the prison of nations will be destroyed by the hands of enslaved nations. One of the first to stick an aspen stake into the throat of the imperial beast is the freedom-loving and united people of Tatarstan. That is why Putin is in such a hurry to destroy as many representatives of your and other nations as possible.
Freedom of nations is a pitfall for the evil empire.
By sabotaging the draft of Tatars into the army of the aggressor, you will stop the genocide of your nation and save strength for liberation from the shackles.
Already now, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are equipped with military units of representatives of the nations enslaved by Moscow, which will soon become the basis of national armies.
The hour of liberation is near.
Form centres of resistance in your homeland and lay down bases for guerrilla warfare.
Agitate those of your sons and brothers whom the imperial moloch throws into the furnace of war – to go over with arms in hand to the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: it is better that they fight for the freedom of Tatarstan than ignominiously lay down their heads near Avdiivka and Bakhmut, at the Zaporizhya steppes or in the Crimea.
Long live the national liberation revolutions of the Tatar and other enslaved nations!
