Our organizations have identified the prospects of creating the necessary measures for both nations, for quick and effective joint actions against a common occupier – the Russian Federation on the international stage.
1. On behalf of the Tatar people, the Government of Independent Tatarstan and on behalf of the Karelian people, the Karelian National Liberation Movement, officially recognize each other as official representatives of the Tatar and Karelian Agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance between the Karelian National Liberation Movement and the Government of Independent Tatarstan in the struggle for the independence of our nations and achieving the main goal – the creation of sovereign states, and will support each other and fight together in the international arena. Cooperation with other national organizations of Tatars and Karelians will be carried out only with mutual approval so that this does not contradict the interests of the contracting parties.
2. The Karelian National Liberation Movement recognizes the fact of the illegal occupation of the territory of Tatarstan by the Russian Federation. The Government of Independent Tatarstan recognizes the fact of illegal occupation of the territory of Karelia by the Russian Federation.
3. The Karelian National Liberation Movement and the Government of Independent Tatarstan recognize the right of each party to secede from the Russian Federation on the basis of an article from the UN Charter “On the right of Agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance between the Karelian National Liberation Movement and the Government of Independent Tatarstan in the struggle for the independence of our nations and achieving the main goal – the creation of sovereign states to self-determination”.
4. The Karelian National Liberation Movement and the Government of Independent Tatarstan recognize that the so-called Russian Federation, pursuing a policy of “Russification”, using illegal methods and grossly violating the fundamental rights of nations, is assimilating our Agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance between the Karelian National Liberation Movement and the Government of Independent Tatarstan in the struggle for the independence of our nations and achieving the main goal – the creation of sovereign states, destroying culture, native language and national identity.
5. The Karelian National Liberation Movement undertakes to cooperate with the Government of Independent Tatarstan in the political, economic and legal fields for the liberation from occupation of the Republic of Karelia and the Republic of Tatarstan, (within their present borders) from the so-called Russian Federation and the creation of Independent National States on their territories.
6. The Karelian National Liberation Movement, together with the Government of Independent Tatarstan, undertakes to conduct a joint struggle in the international arena to seek support in political, economic, legal and other areas by explaining to international political structures their national problems, concerns and expectations.
7. Jointly explain to the whole world that the so-called Russian Federation is not a legitimate state structure worthy of prestige and respect, since it does not hesitate to use cruel, barbaric methods, being the enemy of all humanity.
8. The Karelian National Liberation Movement and the Government of Independent Tatarstan undertake to provide each other with media support using their own media resources.
9. The Karelian National Liberation Movement agrees to support the Tatar people and fully cooperate with them, adhering to the provisions of this Agreement even after the formation of the states of Independent Karelia and Independent Tatarstan.
The Karelian National Liberation Movement is officially represented outside Karelia by the organization “Stop the Occupation of Karelia”, registered in Sweden in 2012.
