Anti-imperial Block of Nations

Over the past 250 years as an independent nation, the United States of America has successfully defended its freedom, built a strong state, and established one of the world’s most enduring democracies.

Throughout its great and distinguished history, America has become a refuge and a new home for many ethnic Tatars who, at different times, were forced to leave their homeland. For the Tatars and other peoples of the Idel-Ural region, the United States holds special significance as the first country to recognise the right of the region’s peoples to freedom and de-occupation. This recognition was enshrined in Public Law 86-90, adopted by the United States Congress in 1959 and signed by the 34th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower, expressing the United States’ willingness to support the achievement of these objectives.

For many decades, the United States of America has remained a country that attracts people from all over the world through its opportunities, its high level of technological, scientific, and industrial development, as well as its openness and respect for individual liberty. This demonstrates that nations striving to restore their statehood or establish new independent states have much to learn from the American experience.

The Committee for the Independence of Tatarstan extends its heartfelt congratulations to the American people on Independence Day. We wish the United States of America peace, prosperity, continued success, and the further strengthening of the ideals of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law.

Respectfully,

The Tatarstan Independence Committee
