I would like to share with you a great joy.
On the Independence Day of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Andrey and I were awarded the State Award of the CRI, the Order of “Yakh” (Conscience).
This is an incredible honour and a colossal responsibility before the Chechen people, before their long-suffering history and before the state of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
There are no words to express our gratitude for this honour and trust.
On this day, Polish politician Anna Fotyga was awarded the Highest State Award “Koman Siy” (Honour of the Nation) for the enormous work she selflessly does to restore the independence of Ichkeria and de-occupy it from the imperial monster.
But the truly grand event at this Conference in Brussels was the awarding of the First President of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia, who was the first to recognize the independence of the Chechen Republic, with the Orders of Dzhokhar Dudayev and “Koman Siy” (posthumously).
The highest state awards of the CRI were received by Zviad Gamsakhurdia’s son, Konstantin Gamsakhurdia.
The award ceremony for the great son of the Caucasus was held solemnly, touchingly, and with great dignity.
Akhmed Zakayev and the Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, with this historic gesture, have accomplished the highest task of restoring justice.
And I couldn’t hold back my tears, because Konstantin delivered his speech with exactly the same intonations as his father, my President, Zviad Gamsakhurdia.
Watch this report, it’s an inspiring and emotional experience.
