The underground targeted the logistical routes by which the enemy began to transport fuel after the Defenсe Forces destroyed oil refining and port infrastructure facilities.
The operation was preceded by extensive preparation. It involved penetrating the relevant enemy structures, obtaining classified information, further analysis, and identifying vulnerabilities in Russian logistics.
Ultimately, the results are impressive:
more than 10,000 tons of crude oil were destroyed, which were to be used to ensure the functioning of the Russian military economy;
material damage of more than 10 million US dollars was caused;
the functioning of individual elements of railway logistics used to move strategic resources and military cargo was disrupted.
All participants in the operation are safe.
“Barrel” demonstrated that even on its own territory, an aggressor state cannot guarantee the security of its logistics routes.
