On January 26, 2025, Belarus is planning to hold pseudo-presidential elections, which Russia could use as a continuation of its planned takeover of Belarus.
The final loss of Belarus’ sovereignty is an existential threat to the Ukrainian state.
The invisible Belarusian front continues to remain one of the key strategic points in our existential confrontation with the eternal enemy.
In my opinion, for the past 30 years, after Lukashenko came to power and dismantled Belarusian national statehood, Ukraine has been pursuing an extremely erroneous and wrong policy, focusing on one-time commercial corruption deals with Lukashenko, rather than on Ukraine’s strategic priorities.
In 2020, we simply did not come to the Belarusian front of the Russian-Ukrainian war, giving Lukashenko the opportunity to suppress national protests by force. And the consequences were not long in coming. In February 2022, as in December 1917, Russian troops marched against us from Belarus.
Our strategic goal remains the preservation of Belarusian statehood, the elimination of the dictatorship of the pro-Russian puppet Lukashenko, and the construction of a people’s national European statehood in Belarus.
The best sons of the Belarusian nation proved the brotherhood of our peoples with their own blood and lives.
I believe that Ukraine will reciprocate and finally learn to distinguish between the Belarusian brothers living under the regime of internal occupation and the pro-Russian puppet regime of Lukashenko.
And although most of my Belarusian interlocutors are skeptical about the possibility of peaceful protests in a deeply repressed country, I sincerely believe that Belarusians will surprise the whole world.
The main thing is that at moment “X” we do not betray them.
Because Orsha will only exist when Ukrainians and Belarusians stand side by side.
