On this day, we thank everyone who consciously took up arms to defend Ukraine – from the UPA soldiers who fought for our independence in difficult conditions, to the volunteers who were the first to defend the Motherland in 2014 and 2022.
The UPA fought against the Nazi and Bolshevik occupation, having only their own faith in Ukraine and popular support. Similarly, in 2014, when Russia started the war, it was the volunteers who stopped the enemy, giving the army time to recover. In 2022, history repeated itself – thousands of Ukrainians once again stood up to defend their land, proving that the spirit of resistance is invincible.
A volunteer is not just a fighter, it is a symbol of a nation that will not surrender. Thank you for your courage, determination and love for Ukraine!
