Anti-imperial Block of Nations

This week, representatives of the Tatarstan Independence Committee, Aida and Ramil Abdrakhmanov, joined a panel discussion on the sidelines of the IV Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform, “EUROPEAN UNITY AGAINST RUSSIAN IMPERIAL REVENGE: FROM THE ALLIANCES OF THE 17TH-18TH CENTURIES TO SHARED RESPONSIBILITY IN THE 21ST CENTURY,” held in Stockholm. Guests at the event included Swedish politicians, diplomats from various countries, and representatives of Swedish social and political organisations.

The panel examined a significant historical aspect—military and diplomatic interactions between the Crimean Khanate and the Kingdom of Sweden in the 17th and 18th centuries—and discussed contemporary forms of interaction and potential future directions.

The Tatarstan Independence Committee was pleased to join this important cultural and political discussion and to welcome and meet representatives of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People. As a sign of respect and in memory of the meeting in Sweden, Aida Abdrakhmanova, head of the Tatarstan Independence Committee, presented souvenir gifts to the Mejlis delegation.

We are convinced that mutual support and consistent constructive work by people from nations that have suffered illegal Russian annexation and occupation since the time of Muscovy will contribute to strengthening cooperation and lead us to achieving our goals.
