Dear friends!
Ukraine celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Day of Restoration of Independence of our State. 24 August 1991 became a turning point in modern history, the day of the realisation of the right of the Ukrainian nation to freedom and independence. “Continuing the thousand-year tradition of statehood in Ukraine, proceeding from the right to self-determination, the Verkhovna Rada solemnly proclaims the independence of Ukraine. The territory of Ukraine is indivisible and inviolable,” is enshrined in the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine.
For the fifth year in a row, we are celebrating Independence Day in the conditions of a gruelling war, after a full-scale invasion by Moscow’s troops. The heroic struggle of the Ukrainian Defence Forces has broken the enemy’s plans to eliminate our statehood; the Armed Forces of Ukraine are giving an appropriate rebuff to the occupiers. Ukrainian Soldiers are courageously holding back the onslaught of superior enemy forces. Ukrainian drones and missiles are causing serious damage to the enemy in the rear. Ukrainian volunteers continue to support their army. Ukrainian rescuers and medics are bringing wounded soldiers and injured civilians back to life.
Thanks to national unity and consolidation, Ukraine has survived. Ukraine is fighting. Ukraine is reclaiming its territories, nurturing a courageous generation of new Heroes, and returning the national Heroes of the past to their native land. Ukraine is building a Pantheon in which the best sons and daughters of all eras of the national liberation struggle will rest.
So, on this holiday, let us pay our respects in memory of the fallen Heroes and pray to the Lord God for all who defend our homeland, who fight for truth and freedom!
The leadership of the Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (Banderites) sincerely congratulates all Ukrainians of the great Ukrainian World on the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence! Together to Victory!
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
