Kremlin propaganda, mentioning the topic of Russia’s disintegration, often blames the West for everything. For example, the ideas of regionalism, and especially separatism, are inspired from outside. In fact, the majority of politicians in Western Europe, categorically rejecting the aggression of Putin’s empire, do not have a clear position on the distribution or preservation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.
In an interview for Ингрия без границ, a member of the European Parliament from Lithuania, a well-known politician, Andrius Kubilius, stated that the most important task for European politicians is to eliminate the Russian threat. The transformation of Russia is the main issue of European security, although not everyone in Europe is optimistic and not everyone believes in positive changes.
“In my opinion, it is worth considering different scenarios of the development of events after Russia’s defeat in the war,” Kubilius shares his thoughts. – I don’t know how strong the internal support is in the regions of Russia for the idea of creating independent states based on ethnic groups, I don’t see obvious factors that would move these processes to real implementation. And my European colleagues have even less information about it. Therefore, now is a very important time to spread such information as much as possible, so that Europe learns as much as possible about the position and plans of the enslaved peoples.”
Freedom for nations is freedom for man! The slogan, on the basis of which post-war Europe was built, is gaining relevance again. This especially applies to the perspective of the division of Russia.
