Anti-imperial Block of Nations

Between 1942 and 1949, thousands of foreigners joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, taking up arms and fighting against two totalitarian regimes—Nazi Germany and the communist USSR. Each of them had different motives.
If you want to know more about,
– How many foreigners were in the ranks of the UPA?
– Where did they come from?
– How did they get there and why did they decide to join?
– What motivated these warriors?
– Why was a conference of the enslaved peoples of the USSR organised?
– What language did they communicate in?
– How did the local residents react?

Thanks for the conversation, Daria Antsybor!
PS. Just as 83 years ago, thousands of foreigners were fighting against the last empire of Europe.
Unfortunately, 1,047 foreigners died between 2022 and 2025 for our Freedom.
