The head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that regime changes in Russia have not altered its imperialist mindset. He believes it is necessary to create conditions under which Russia will cease to exist as an empire, and several regional national states will emerge on its territory.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said this in an interview with the Arab media outlet “Al-Modon.”
“Changes of regimes in Russia have not changed its essence. Regardless of its current name, its core ideology has remained unchanged. Russian authorities have never set as their goal the improvement of living conditions for their citizens — neither in the tsarist era, nor in the Soviet period, nor at the current stage of oligarchic capitalism. Therefore, it makes no sense to speak of Bolshevism as a separate stage in Russian history,” Budanov said.
He noted that the policy of Russia’s current president does not differ significantly from the policies of the tsarist or Soviet eras.
Комитет Независимости Татарстана“We should not expect Russia to change again due to internal factors. Instead, it is necessary to create conditions under which Russia will cease to exist as an empire. Several regional national states must be formed on its territory, each of which will care about the well-being of its people. Only then will Ukraine, Europe, and the whole world feel safer,” Budanov added.
