Russian archaeologist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Maria Ochir-Goryaeva became one of the most prominent participants in the 8th Forum of Independent States of Post-Russia (Paris-London). The professor and civil activist considers the topic of independence of Kalmykia, which is close to her, from the standpoint of scientific research. The scientist’s conclusion is unequivocal: Despite all the disadvantages and shortcomings, independent Kalmykia will live better than it lives now, as part of the Russian Federation. Moreover, Maria Ochir is confident that similar conclusions can be drawn in relation to all other new states of Post-Russia. For reference: today representatives of 41 territories of the former Russian Federation declare their readiness to become independent.
