On 8 March 2025, a presentation of the international human rights project “Putin’s Real Prisoners. Political Prisoners of the Enslaved Nations” was held in Copenhagen at the Ukrainian House in Denmark. As part of the event, an exhibition of the same name was presented, which reflected ten stories of repressed activists of the national liberation movements of enslaved nations.
Special attention during the presentation was paid to the issue of consolidating the efforts of the entire free world to free the Kremlin’s political prisoners. Thanks to the ABN human rights project, Europe is not only discovering the names of illegally persecuted freedom fighters but also putting the issue of protecting human rights on the territory of the so-called “Russian Federation” on the agenda of European politics.

The problem of gaslighting in modern political conditions was also discussed during the presentation. As noted by the Vice-President of the ABN, Rector of the University of Free Nations Leontiy Shypilov: “Throughout his entire reign, Putin has been gaslighting enslaved nations. He said that they did not want freedom, but he put them in prison. He said that they wanted to speak Russian, but at the same time banned their native language. He assured them that they were patriots of Russia and drove them to the so-called “SVO” (Special Military Operation). Therefore, our task is to return the truth to the truth, to show the real state of affairs. Russia is the enemy of freedom and the enemy of human rights.”
The Scandinavian leg of the ABN human rights tour will continue in Stockholm and Oslo, on 10-12 March respectively.
