The death of the Belarusian volunteer Gaza was reported by his friends on social networks. According to them, the funeral has already taken place.
Belarusian volunteer Gaz met the beginning of the full-scale war in Moscow. He had lived there since he was 16 when he moved to his father, from his native Novopolotsk. The boy had both Belarusian and Russian citizenship.
At the start of the war, Gaz worked as a commercial development director at an auto parts company. He noted that he was far from politics and knew only superficially about the 2020 Belarusian protests.

“But living in Russia became unbearable: war propaganda was at every step,” Gaz said in a long interview with Zerkalo. As a result, in August 2022, he returned to Belarus. Living in Novopolotsk, and then in Minsk, he realized he was a Belarusian patriot. And at the end of 2023, he finally decided to fight for Ukraine.
Gaz applied to the International Legion.
The family did not support the guy’s choice. His father, a Russian citizen, cut off contact with him. “My mother is Belarusian, she reacted like a normal mother. She said it was dangerous, there were some tears at first, and then just acceptance. Now we speak with her, we raise topics that were difficult for her before. And everything is fine. My grandmother said that I went to fight exclusively for money, my aunt did not support me either, she said it was wrong,” said Gaz.

By the spring of 2024, when Gaz gave an interview to Zerkalo, he had already completed the preparatory courses and was taking part in combat operations. In between, he learned to control FPV drones.
“I immediately realized: this is for me. I am very glad that I made this choice. The only thing I regret is that I did not go to Ukraine earlier,” he said.
The Anti-Imperialist Bloc of Nations expresses its sincere condolences to the relatives of the deceased and his comrades in arms.
Heroes never die! They will live forever in our memories.
