Anti-imperial Block of Nations

Dear residents of Tatarstan, respected compatriots, and Tatars worldwide!

We cordially congratulate you on an important date for all Tatars – the Day of the Formation of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was on this day, 30 August 1990, that the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Tatar SSR was adopted, that is, Tatarstan declared itself as a subject with the right to independent state development. The Declaration became the basis for the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tatarstan on 6 November 1990.

This historical event has already turned 35 years old, but it still remains for us that important date that we must remember and be proud of! The Tatar people are scattered all over the globe and live in many countries of the world. At the same time, the Republic of Tatarstan is a native land for each of us, as an inexhaustible source of national spirit and inspiration.

On behalf of the Tatarstan Independence Committee, we thank the leaders and activists of the Tatar national movement, as well as all those involved, who made great efforts to defend the sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan! You have immortalised your names in the history of the Tatar people as true fighters and worthy sons and daughters of the Tatar people!

Unfortunately, the expression of our people’s will, written in the Declaration, due to the imperial attitude of the Russian authorities, remained only on paper. Instead of freedom and development, we got new bonds, instead of an independent decision on the fate of Tatarstan – an imposition from Moscow, instead of preserving the language – its systematic destruction.

But we remember everything, and we accept historical lessons to correct political mistakes. Even today, in the criminal war started by Russia against sovereign Ukraine, our fellow countrymen are forced to fight and die for the interests of those who colonised us for centuries and deprived us of a future.

Dear Tatarstan residents!

Addressing you, on behalf of the Independence Committee of Tatarstan, we call on each of you to think about the fate of your people, your families and future generations. Take a conscious and responsible approach to yourselves on the path of self-determination, native language, folk traditions and culture, communicate in the Tatar language, passing on knowledge to your children and grandchildren, continue folk traditions, preserving the wise centuries-old life experience of our ancestors. Then, we will be strong in spirit and steadfast in our unity.

Believe in yourself and in the enormous strength of the Tatar people, who sooner or later will regain their independence, self-sufficiency and unite into a strong, free, prosperous Republic of Tatarstan!

Happy Independence and Sovereignty Day! A new beginning to Freedom and Prosperity!

Yashasen Azat Tatarstan!
