Anti-imperial Block of Nations

The 7th Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum had finished in Tokyo. The participants – representatives of the regions of the national republics, advocating the division of Russia into a number of independent states – within the walls of the Parliament of Japan signed the Tokyo Declaration and spoke about the colonial past of their peoples. There are 3 points in the Declaration: cooperation on the path of de-imperialization of Russia, settlement of the problem of the northern territories occupied by Russia, creation of the Coordination Center for Free Eurasia in Japan. The document was signed by three members of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, Japanese scientists and supporters of the independence of Ichkeria, Siberia, Bashkortostan, Buryatia and Ingermanland. Among the signatories was Ilya Ponomarev, a member of the executive council of the Congress of People’s Deputies established some time ago and a supporter of the preservation of a united Russia.

“Activatika” asked the forum participants what was the importance of the forum in Tokyo, and why are they so sure of the imminent end of the “empire”?

Stanislav Suslov, vice-chairman of the Committee of the Independent Confederation of Siberia (pictured in the center) entered into a public discussion with Ilya Ponomarev about the “Beautiful Russia of the Future”:

I think this was new information for the Japanese forum members. They are also concerned about the issue of the “northern islands”, which the parents of some of the participants of the Japanese side wanted and swore to solve. In general, the attention that was shown to our Forum in Japan turned out to be even greater than in the European Parliament. The Japanese side is primarily interested in adequate and predictable partners in the Far East and Siberia, and not a crazy monkey with a nuclear club. The Japanese civilization is very ancient, they are used to taking careful and thoughtful steps before starting something serious. I handed over to the deputies of the Parliament of Japan appeals for the recognition of the independence of Siberia. And the fact that the Japanese side accepted these letters, I think, is another proof of the seriousness of the attitude towards the forum.” that this was new information for the Japanese forum members. They are also concerned about the Ruslan Gabbasov, head of the Committee of the Bashkir National Movement Abroad spoke categorically about the collapse of Russia at the Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum in Tokyo: he considers this a historical process, the end of which we will feel in the next year or two.

Oleg Magaletsky, founder of the Free Nations of PostRussia Forum (on the far right in the photo) :

“It is important that Japanese politicians, diplomats, media have an understanding that Russia is not only a problem of Ukraine or the European Union, and not only an aspect of their interaction on the occupied Japanese territories, but a matter of global architecture and security of eastern and northern Eurasia. The only option for the collapse of the existing alliance of Moscow, Beijing, Tehran and Pyongyang (and these three countries, excluding Iran, pose not only an economic but also a military threat to Japan) is to proactively participate in the process, which is already ongoing. I mean the last stage of the collapse of the Russian Empire (the first was in 1917, the second – in 1991, the third Putin activated on February 24, 2022). This can create risks. They understand that the only way to translate risks into opportunities is through participation. It will also help to influence the possible creation of a “gray zone” after the collapse, where the influence of the PRC will increase. There is an understanding that independent Buryatia, Sokha, the United States of Siberia, the Pacific Federation, the Republic of Kamchatka and Chukotka can become not only an economic and cultural partner of Japan, but, in a certain sense, a military ally. The forum announced the creation of a center for learning and reforms in Eurasia, which will create roadmaps for decolonization”.

Representatives of some regions, such as independent Tatarstan, were unable to attend, but expressed their solidarity via video link.

Aida Abdrakhmanova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of independent Tatarstan for national and religious issues :

“Japan is the first country in East Asia that has opened its doors to the Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum. For us, Tatars, this is doubly noteworthy, since more than 100 years ago, prominent political figures Gayaz Iskhaky, Gabdrrashid Ibrahim also saw Japan as a strategic ally in helping to find their own state. The geopolitical processes of the independence of Tatarstan and the Tatar people revived by them, I hope, we will bring to their logical end. An important point was Japan’s acquaintance with our anti-imperial project, directly with representatives of the peoples and regions enslaved by Muscovy. Since in Japan, as in many other countries, they think that Russia is only the Russian people. But this Forum of the Free Nations of Post-Russia breaks these stereotypes and reveals the narratives of every people enslaved by Muscovy, and each representative of his people can convey his aspirations and be heard. The collapse of Russia depends to a greater extent on the outcome of the war in Ukraine. Unfortunately, in all likelihood, the war is protracted with a possible transition to the territory of the aggressor’s country. And at which of these stages the collapse of Russia will occur, one can only guess. The most important thing is that all national liberation movements be ready for this moment.”
