On 19 May, the Anti-Imperial Block of Nations’ human rights project “Putin’s Real Prisoners: Political Prisoners of Enslaved Nations” was presented in Prague. The presentation in the Czech capital was the final event of the next stage of the ABN’s human rights tour, which included presentations of the project in Moldova, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
President of the ABN Oleh Medunytsya began the presentation with words of gratitude to the Czech people for their significant and constant support of Ukraine. Oleg Medunitsa also spoke about the activities of the Anti-Imperial Block of Nations, in particular, about the human rights project “Putin’s Real Prisoners: Political Prisoners of Enslaved Nations”.
“Our task is to form a powerful world coalition to protect the Kremlin’s political prisoners and to support the national liberation movements of the enslaved nations,” emphasized Oleh Medunytysa. “At one time, the Czech people also experienced oppression from various occupiers. The Czechs remember well the events of the “Prague Spring” of 1968, clearly realize the aggressive nature of Moscow, and therefore must appreciate the desire for freedom and independence of all enslaved nations.”
Oleh Medunytsya also summarized the main results of the meetings in European capitals that the ABN delegation held over two weeks. He noted that, thanks to the ABN human rights project, it was possible to convey to European politicians, journalists and human rights activists important information about political persecution in Russia, which remained unknown for a long time. According to the ABN President, Ukraine should maintain leadership in supporting the national liberation movements of enslaved nations, but it is very important to involve international partners in this process.
