The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a new resolution on Russia, which denied Russian dictator Vladimir Putin legitimacy.
Today, 17 April, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a new resolution on Russia. This was announced by Rada deputy and member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Alexey Goncharenko. The resolution was adopted unanimously. It contains four key points that Moscow will not like very much.
First point. PACE does not recognize the results of the so-called “presidential elections” in the Russian Federation, considers dictator Vladimir Putin an illegitimate leader and calls on all countries to refuse contact with his regime, except for humanitarian purposes.
Second point. The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) and its leader Kirill Gundyaev are recognized as accomplices of the Kremlin in aggression against Ukraine.
Third point. PACE recognizes the Russian oil and gas industry as a legitimate military target for Ukraine.
Fourth point. The Assembly calls on the United States to unblock military aid to Kyiv.
