Anti-imperial Block of Nations

Latvia lost another volunteer.

Latvian citizen Nikita Tarenov, known by the call sign “Latvian”, was killed during hostilities in Ukraine. This was reported by the  DELFI publication . 

This information was confirmed to Latvian television by a source close to Tarenov. In addition, several social media accounts covering events in Ukraine and supporting the Ukrainian military also reported his death.

In a comment to LETA, the representative of the Latvian Foreign Ministry Diana Eglite noted that the ministry has not yet received official confirmation from the Ukrainian military. In turn, the Latvian Ministry of Defense is also waiting for official information from the Ukrainian side, but confirmed that Tarenovs did not serve in the Latvian National Armed Forces.

Since the start of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this is the third Latvian volunteer to die fighting on the side of Ukrainian forces.

It was previously reported that  a volunteer from Sweden died in the war against Russia .
