On 21 April 2026, a memorial plaque in honour of the President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Dzhokhar Dudayev, was unveiled in Lviv, on the 30th anniversary of his death.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Akhmed Zakayev, the Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi, the President of the Anti-Imperial Block of Nations Oleh Medunytsya, and a delegation from the ABN, representatives of the city and regional authorities, and soldiers of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
The memorial plaque was installed on Dzhokhar Dudayev Street, which was renamed on 24 April 1996.
