The Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, took part in a joint briefing with the US President’s Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, and briefed him on the Kremlin’s “imperial ambitions.”

Along with Budanov, the briefing was attended by his deputy, Major General Vadym Skibitsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrsky, Chief of the General Staff, Major General Andriy Hnatov, as well as representatives of Ukrainian intelligence.
The Ukrainian side briefed the American delegation in detail on the current operational situation, Russia’s plans until 2036, and the Kremlin’s preparations for further armed conflict not only against Ukraine but also against NATO countries.
“The Kremlin’s imperial ambitions are not limited to Ukraine – they encompass all of Europe. However, with the support of the United States, we can stop Russia and nullify its military potential,” Budanov emphasized.
He also expressed gratitude to the government and people of the United States for their continued political, economic, and military support for Ukraine, adding that “Russia recognises only force – it is through it that we will achieve lasting peace. ”
As a reminder, on Monday 14 July, the US President’s Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, arrived in Kyiv for a visit . He plans to stay in the capital for the entire week.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Kellogg in Kyiv. The meeting focused on weapons supplies, air defence, and sanctions against Russia.
