Interview of Ingrian activist Maxim Kuzakhmetov to the Ukrainian publication I-UA.tv about why the forced division of Russia into independent states is not revenge, but a matter of European security.
“If the Russian Federation is preserved even in a truncated form after the defeat in the war with Ukraine (as it was after the collapse of the USSR), then revenge-seekers, new neo-nationalists, former front-line soldiers will still come to power. Let me remind you that Adolf Hitler was an honest front-line soldier who spent four years in the trenches. He did not hide in the rear. And then he simply united and led all those offended and disagreeing with the defeat of Germany in the First World War. And all this aggression again splashed out on Europe.
In Russia, the same thing will happen again after some time, if you do not take Moscow by storm, but are satisfied only with its defeat on the battlefields. After all, the experience of Germany after 1918 is before our eyes. There was a defeat, and free elections, and reparations in favor of the winners. But the countries of Antnata did not do the most important thing: they did not create their military bases in Germany to protect the young democracy from the danger of the emergence of a dictatorship. Therefore, after the victory of Ukraine, NATO military bases should be set up in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and other major centers. This is necessary in case of a military mutiny, if the former Wagnerists or revanchists want to unite to seize power.
