One of them is Nuyan Vidyaz (Chetvergov Yevgen Vladimirovich, 91 years old), a famous Erzyan writer and publicist, founder of the “Fund for the Salvation of the Erzyan Language”, for many years the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Erzyan Mastor”. The second is Yohan Minka (Chetvergov Mikhail Antonovich, 76 years old), an Erzyan activist, and correspondent of the newspaper “Erzyan Mastor”, known for his truthful articles. He devoted most of his life to the salvation and preservation of the Erzyan language and people. The Erzyans know him as one of the organizers of Rasken Ozks (People’s Prayers). Both are distinguished by their directness, honesty and ability to defend their opinion, even if it differs from the ruling opinion.
