Anti-imperial Block of Nations

A video message to Governor Igor Kobzev was recorded by residents of building 48 on Karl Liebknecht Street. They complained that just 20 metres from their playground, two ritual halls and “a morgue where corpses will be prepared for burial” were opened.

“The owners of these ritual halls refer to the governor and say that he is facilitating funeral processes to take place here in the city centre,” people say. “I would like our city to be famous for something other than funerals.” Or rename our street Pokhorennaya or Pogrebnaya.”

According to Irkutsk residents, funeral business owners began actively advertising their services. A promoter in a death suit distributes leaflets near Irkutsk Clinical Hospital No. 3, also located in the city centre. Irkutsk residents are promised a discount for early booking of the funeral hall.

After the start of the war in Ukraine, prices for funeral services and goods increased sharply in Russia (https://www.dw.com/ru/v-rossii-rezko-vyrosli-ceny-na-ritualnye-uslugi-i-tovary/a-68085031). According to estimates (https://t.me/Baikal_People/5170) “People of Baikal” just from open sources, 1066 men from the Irkutsk region died in two years.
