The Baltic countries threaten the Kaliningrad region – this idea was voiced on Channel One by the Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration and Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
He said that “militaristic sentiments” in the Baltic states pose a danger to Kaliningrad in strategic terms – and this requires additional measures so that Russia’s security “is reliably ensured.”
Peskov told the Russians that the Baltic countries are “permeated with Russophobic sentiments” and “are drawing more and more military facilities, just military facilities, and military equipment into their territory.”
“The danger is certainly there… the danger is strategic. Because you can see what militaristic sentiments are now in Europe – the neighbouring Baltic states and so on,” Peskov said.
What is the Kremlin official hinting at?
Will Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia really be like Ukraine? (Russia attacked Ukraine, “otherwise Ukraine would have attacked Russia.”)
