The governor of Russia’s Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that air defence forces shot down 8 air targets over the regional centre and district, the Russian public wrote about the alleged attempt of the “Ukrainian DRG” to attack, but Russian volunteers said that they were the ones attacking military facilities in the Russian Federation – they explained that they were forced to open fire because Russia continues to strike peaceful settlements in Ukraine.

Gladkov’s direct speech: “Our anti-aircraft system worked over Belgorod and the Belgorod district – 8 air targets were shot down on the approach to the city. Operational services are clarifying information about the consequences on the ground. According to preliminary data, the driver died as a result of the crash into the passenger car. The emergency services also received a complaint about 2 injured women and one man. Ambulance teams went to the scene.”
Details: Later, the RDK reported that a military man, Dmytro Oleksiyovych Golyshkin, born on 6 December 1997, allegedly died in a car that was fired upon in Belgorod with V/Ch 31135.
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation claims that 8 rockets were allegedly shot down over the Belgorod region around 8:30 am.
Gladkov reported that in Belgorod there was damage to two private houses and in the grounds of one of the healthcare institutions, also one car was damaged.
Russian Telegram channels publish photos and videos of the fire in Belgorod.
The propaganda Telegram channel Mash wrote that on the morning of March 14, the Ukrainian DRG was allegedly trying to infiltrate the territory of the Belgorod region and that a battle was allegedly ongoing in the area of the village of Spodaryushyne. But there is no confirmation of this information.
It is worth noting that the day before, Russian volunteers from the “Russian Volunteer Corps” and the Legion “Freedom of Russia” called on residents of the Kursk and Belgorod regions, who live near military facilities, to evacuate.
“Putin’s killers are carrying out mass attacks on peaceful Ukrainian cities, setting up their positions between your homes, your children’s schools and state institutions. Every day dozens of ordinary innocent people (mostly women and children) die from shelling from Belgorod. The shelling of Ukraine from the territory of Belgorod must stop! In this regard, we are forced to open fire on military positions located in the cities of Belgorod and Kursk. To avoid civilian casualties, we urge everyone to leave the city immediately. We call on the local authorities to save human lives and begin evacuation from the cities of Kurshchyna and Belgorod region,” the RDK warned.
According to the source of Ukrainian Pravda in the GUR, the local authorities of the Belgorod and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation are blocking the evacuation, people are prohibited from leaving under the threat of dismissal and fines.
On the morning of March 14, the RDK published a repeated appeal.
“We again appeal to the residents of Kurshchyna and Belgorod region! Your leadership has not taken any measures for your protection or evacuation, and the shelling of peaceful cities and villages of Ukraine continues as before! We are forced to return fire on military facilities in the border regions! Evacuate immediately. We will open fire on military targets within an hour and a half after this video appeal (published at 9:14 a.m. – ed.),” the volunteers call.
Oleksiy Baranovsky “Lyutyk”, a volunteer of the “Freedom of Russia” legion, specified that they were planning strikes to be carried out by drones.
At the same time, the head and founder of the RDK, Denys Nikitin, with the call sign White Rex, said in the UP commentary that the volunteers already have trophy weapons and equipment. With each new operation on the territory of Russia, according to Nikitin, the scale increases – they have “more artillery, more equipment, more people.”
Volunteer Baranovsky reported in the morning of March 14 that “the situation is tense in the Kursk region, fighting continues in the Belgorod region” and that their “liberation operation has been going on for 3 days and will continue”.
“The task is to ultimately overthrow Putin’s regime,” Baranovsky said.
