Three years of struggle – the Russian Freedom Legion continues its resistance to the Putin regime.
A year ago, on 12 March 2024, the Legion, together with other Russian volunteer units, participated in the largest military operation on the territory of the Russian Federation at that time. The Legion “Freedom of Russia” was formed two years earlier – on 10 March 2022. It was created by citizens of the aggressor state, who realized the criminal nature of the Muscovite invasion and sided with Ukraine in its struggle for independence.
Since the spring of 2022, the legionnaires have been performing combat missions on the front line, constantly increasing their numbers and improving their tactics. The unit participated in battles in the Bakhmut, Kharkiv, Sumy directions and southern Ukraine.
In addition to front-line operations, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s GUR, the Legion carried out several high-profile sabotage operations on the territory of the aggressor state. In particular, the Legion’s fighters disabled the ship “Serpukhov”, blew up the headquarters of the officers of the “Stormz” battalion, and regularly struck at the enemy’s logistical channels.
The fight continues, and the legion continues its journey to freedom.
