Bashkir activist Aigul Lyon: “Today, only national republics have the strength to overthrow the Russian government”

“Now only Ukraine supports us. In the future, when we become an independent country, we will definitely focus on Ukraine,” says journalist and ombudsman of the Bashkir people Aigul Lyon. All her life she has been fighting for the separation of the national republics currently oppressed in Russia. In the Caucasus, the leadership belongs to Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Dagestan. In the Volga region and the Urals, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan hold on to their identity.
Aigul Lyon, who has been living in the United States for the past few years, spoke about the situation in Bashkortostan in an interview with LB.ua.
She believes that Bashkortostan has great potential to fight for its independence and victory.
