Anxious morning on April 22, 1996 … The phone is not appeased. Calls not only from Ukraine. “You heard? They say the Rashists killed Dzhokhar…” With difficulty I got through to Grozny. They said […]
“The war in Chechnya continues”: the head of the union of Caucasians in Turkey – about Ichkeria, Ukraine and the homeland
A 48-year-old native of Chechnya, Ali Viskhadzhiev, is the head of the Kafkasder association of Caucasian diasporas in Turkey. Representatives of different nations turn to him for help, if necessary, to communicate with local authorities. After the outbreak of the armed conflict in Chechnya in the 90s, Viskhadzhiev left his studies at the Sverdlovsk Institute and participated in hostilities against Russia. He came to Turkey in 2006, and ten years later he began public, human rights work.

“Conquest of the Caucasus” as a strategic mistake of Russia: the defeat of Imam Shamil and the tragedy of Muhajirism
Every year on May 21, the Adyghe-Abkhaz peoples celebrate the day of memory and mourning for the victims of the Caucasian War. During the hostilities, the Russian army destroyed the Adyghe […]
