The other day, Ukrainian activists installed a huge postage stamp near the City Council building in Kyiv. The stamp depicts a map of the Russian Federation, divided into parts and blazing in fire.
“Everything new is long forgotten old.” But we haven’t forgotten anything.
Due to the policy of Russification, few people know that back in 1936, on the territory of Faraway Ukraine, a stamp was issued depicting the territory of Zeleny Klyn (Green Ukraine).
By that time, it seemed that the entire territory of the Green Wedge was already ruled by the power of the Red Commissars. But, despite the occupation, people did not forget about who they were and what name their land actually bears.
We know and remember this, so we fight for our freedom and independence.
So that our flag will once again fly over the land of the Green Wedge, so that our people will be able to live on their own, not suffering the “panschine” (serfdom) from the Urals to Moscow, and our postage stamp will once again be on the envelopes.

P.S. Most likely, the stamp was printed on the territory of the Ukrainian colony in Shanghai or Harbin, where the Far Eastern Sich operated in those years.
