The Head of the Danish Military Intelligence Service (DDIS/FE) and the Minister of Defence of Denmark held a press conference dedicated to hybrid warfare by the Russian Federation, with the main theses:
The Russian Federation is currently waging a hybrid war using military tools for pressure, employing methods that were unthinkable before the war.Hybrid actions are being used to weaken NATO’s political unity and decision-making capacity. This is all part of the new reality we find ourselves in.We have seen several examples of Russian warships heading for a collision with Danish vessels.We recorded how Russian warships passed through the Danish straits with sonar equipment and drones, disrupting navigation systems.During the press conference, a journalist persistently asked Mo Poulsen about the drone infiltration and the lack of clear answers, wondering if this situation was not a “shame” for Denmark.
Poulsen responded that people could criticise the government for its actions, but noted that an investigation was underway and measures were being prepared in case of similar attacks in the future, including the acquisition of anti-UAV systems for both the police and the army.
The minister emphasised that drones will still be able to penetrate, even when appropriate capabilities for intercepting them appear and the level of training of anti-drone units is increased.
