Anti-imperial Block of Nations

The aggressor country has intensified diplomatic contacts with African countries ahead of the Russia-Africa summit, scheduled for 28-29 October 2026.

The Military Directorate of the Ministry of Defense reported this.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence Main Intelligence Directorate, Moscow seeks to strengthen its military-political and economic influence on the continent.

During the summit, the Kremlin expects to conclude several strategic agreements on cooperation in the political, military, energy and economic spheres. One of Russia’s main priorities is to gain advantages to strengthen its own military machine.

In particular, Moscow plans to offer documents on military cooperation to Benin and Senegal.

With Cameroon, Congo, Madagascar, Nigeria, and Togo, Russia seeks to reach an agreement to simplify the entry of Russian warships and support vessels into these countries’ ports.

In addition, the Russian Federation is interested in creating a naval logistics point in Port Sudan, Sudan, restoring a Soviet logistics point in Berbera, Somalia, and establishing a logistics hub in the Eritrean port of Assab.

As noted in the GUR, these agreements should help the Kremlin expand its military campaign in Africa with the participation of the “African Corps” controlled by the Russian Ministry of Defence, increase its offensive capabilities, and extend military expansion to other countries on the continent.
