With the increase in losses in the war with Ukraine, the authorities of the Republic of Mordovia are already forced to agree on where to install commemorative plaques and “Heroes’ Desks” and to limit their number in order not to create too depressing a picture of what is happening.
In the Republic of Mordovia, a commemorative plaque and another “Hero’s Desk” have been opened again, Kasparov.Ru reports. The number of schools and colleges marked with such “memorials” is growing along with the number of citizens of the republic killed in the war with Ukraine.
The most solemn event was the opening of a memorial plaque in the Saran Industrial and Economic College in honor of its graduate Roman Krasheninnikov. The opening of the “Hero’s Desk” was held much more modestly in honor of Yevhen Prytvorov, a former student of Gymnasium No. 29 who died in the war in Ukraine.
It should be noted that memorial plaques and “desks” in honor of the Mordovians who died in Ukraine are increasingly being opened in the republic’s educational institutions. But there are not enough places!
