The draft law on raising the draft age to 30 years was adopted in the first reading by the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The minimum draft age will be raised to 21. The deputies also proposed to release the mobilized from criminal punishment after the service.
All opponents of mobilization in Russia now have two choices: either flee the country, or fight against the Kremlin regime.
The increase in the draft age is formalized as part of the army reform, which was proposed by Minister of Defense shoigu in December 2022. This idea was supported by president putin.
