The Siberian battalion is the first full-fledged combat unit of the citizens of the Russian Federation, built according to political, regional and national principles. It is supported by small and medium-sized businessmen and professionals in exile who provide funds for the training and maintenance of the battalion. Our volunteers are very different, there are very young people who put their beliefs and their freedom above life and comfort. They have different levels of training – there are those with military experience, there are those without it. For pro-democracy activists in exile, the road from the couch to the trenches is a bit longer, but many make it.
