Anti-imperial Block of Nations

To win, it is necessary first of all to clearly understand what is a victory for us and what will be the final defeat of Russia.
True victory and permanent peace are impossible without the decolonization of the Russian Empire, and decolonization of the empire is impossible without the success of the national liberation movements of the nations enslaved by it.
That is why I consider today’s registered draft law No. 11402 “On the basic principles of the state policy of Ukraine regarding interaction with the national movements of the colonial nations of the Russian Federation” to be significant for the future of Ukraine and not only Ukraine.
The Temporary Special Commission developed the project created specifically for this purpose, of which I have the honour of being the secretary.
The fact that as many as 82 deputies from various factions and groups became co-authors of the document indicates that the understanding of the importance of systemic policy towards the enslaved nations of the Russian Federation is growing in the parliament and society.
Protecting the rights of the nations enslaved by Russia, including the right to self-determination, corresponds to the vital national interests of Ukraine, and we must realize these interests, no matter what anyone in the world thinks about this.
Therefore, the draft law declares the realization by the colonial nations of the Russian Federation of their political, economic, cultural and other rights through the decolonization of the Russian Federation as the goal of our state policy in relations with these nations.
The document defines the specific tasks of Ukrainian ministries and departments in interaction with national movements of nations enslaved by Russia – from promoting the development of their cultures, languages and media to the activities of national armed formations from representatives of the nations of the Russian Federation as part of the Ukrainian defence forces.
Currently, this is only a draft law. It depends on all of us how quickly it will be approved by the Verkhovna Rada, signed by the president, and start to take effect. I am convinced this will be one of the most important legislative steps towards our victory, protecting our security and building a lasting peace.
