I made a detailed analysis of the new genocidal document, adopted under the auspices of the Moscow Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev and other hierarchs of the ROC MP, which declares the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine “sacred” and “blesses” the complete destruction of the Ukrainian nation (genocide). This document is characterized by xenophobia and contains propaganda and calls for violence and genocide on a national basis.
In its essence, it resembles and partly copies the programmatic documents of the pro-Nazi church movement of the 1930s and 1940s, known as the “German Christians” (NH) (Glaubensbewegung “Deutsche Christen”).
The document is a conscious act of acceptance of anti-Christian teaching, which places the Moscow Patriarch and other hierarchs of the ROC MP outside the boundaries of the Orthodox Church and subjects them to church-canonical sanctions and condemnation. In particular, all 488 delegates of the “World Russian People’s Council” (WRC), including the Moscow Patriarch, hierarchs and priests of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as political and public figures of the Russian Federation, who voted for this xenophobic and genocidal document, now have grounds to be subject to international condemnation and sanctions, and the delegates from the ROC MP – also to the church court. From now on, this document is an important argument and “physical evidence” both for the future International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, and for the future church court with the participation of the Ecumenical Patriarch and other representatives of local Orthodox churches.
