15 April marks the 30th anniversary of the death of the great Medea Paniashvili, professor at the Tbilisi Conservatory, my piano teacher.
She died immediately after the funeral of Zviad Gamsakhurdia in Grozny. Zviad was buried on 24 February 1994, and Medea died on 15 April 1994. Until her last day, she kept a letter from Zviad from the Chechen Republic under her pillow.
Medea Paniashvili and Zviad Gamsakhurdia were to perform a magnificent repertoire with four hands on the anniversary of Georgian independence on 9 April 1992.
But the Kremlin carried out a punitive military operation to overthrow Zviad Gamsakhurdia.
What kind of four-hand concert is this and what kind of independence is this?
Medea Paniashvili is the daughter of a baby dug up under a mountain of corpses of Georgians executed by families in 1924, during the Tbilisi uprising against the occupation of Soviet Russia in 1921.
This year marks exactly one hundred years since the Tbilisi uprising and its brutal suppression.
At the October plenum of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks in 1924, Sergo Ordzhonikidze said: “We resorted to mass executions. We may have gone a bit too far, but there’s nothing we can do about it now.”
Medea Paniashvili and Zviad Gamsakhurdia are representatives of that part of the Georgian intelligentsia who, unlike the Shevardnadze-Ordzhonikidze scum, did not play along with the Russian occupation.
The occupation of Georgia is not only terror, repression, the suppression of the national consciousness of Georgians, the breaking of destinies and the cultivation of a new type of “Georgian” – the “Russian Georgian”.
This is also the Russification of all other people in Georgia.
This is also part of the deliberate cultural genocide of Ukrainians.
These are “nicknames” and “teasers” developed in the offices of the KGB.
“Russian crest – found money” – this is not stupidity invented in Tbilisi courtyards. This is the work of the KGB so that Ukrainians are perceived as the younger, simple-minded brother of the big brother with “great culture.”
When my Ukrainian grandparents died in one year, the terrible leap year of 1984, I was 12 years old.
I came to class at Medea’s house after my grandfather’s funeral in October.
In addition to the necessary words in such cases, which Medea found for a 12-year-old girl, Medea uttered words that only now I understand: “Never forget that you are Ukrainian. Your Ukrainian grandfather experienced horror.”
Today, Ukrainians, Georgians, and all the nations occupied by Russia over these centuries, should not separate their generation from the generations of their grandparents who lived through a terrible nightmare.
A curse on our heads if we forget this.
Please watch the material on the I NEWS channel, I tell you things that no one will tell you about the resources that have taken over the information space with one goal, so that “the connection of time is interrupted.”
So that Zviad Gamsakhurdia and Medea Paniashvili, Dzhokhar Dudayev and Vyacheslav Chornovil do not become heroes for you and me, so that new generations grow up without the slightest idea of our common tragedy.
To continue to raise Russian Georgians, Russian Ukrainians and Russian Chechens.
