Anti-imperial Block of Nations

Many thanks to the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for this historic step.
I am sure that the so-called Russian opposition, which is rushing to PACE today, should declare that it also recognises Ichkeria as its occupied country, as Russian. If they do not do this, they are no different from Putin, whom they are fighting against.
STATEMENT
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine condemns the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against
The Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, the occupation of its territory and the crime of genocide of the Chechen people.
On 25 November 1990, the All-National Congress of the Chechen People proclaimed the Declaration of the State Sovereignty of Chechnya (Nokhchiycho) based on the Chechen people’s exercise of their right to self-determination, enshrined in the UN Charter,
Taking into account the declaration of independence by the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, after the collapse of the USSR, and the adoption by its parliament on 12 March 1992 of a Constitution, establishing the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria as a sovereign, independent, democratic and legal state,
Recalling that the Russian Federation unilaterally denounced the Treaty on Peace and the Principles of Relations between the Russian Federation and the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria of 12 May 1997, and continued the aggressive war against the Chechen state;
Considering that the consequence of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against the Chechen state was the temporary occupation of its entire territory by the Russian Federation;
Considering that during the aggression of the Russian Federation, its armed forces committed numerous international crimes, including genocide, on the territory of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria
Chechen people;
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine:
1. Declares non-recognition of the occupation by the Russian Federation of the territory of the Chechen Republic
Ichkeria and considers the regime existing there to be an occupation and illegitimate.
2. Condemns the international crimes committed by the Russian Federation during the first (1994-
1996) and the second (1999-2009) wars against the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, as a policy of genocide against
the Chechen people, imitating the criminal actions of the tsarist regime of 1817-1864 and the Soviet
authorities in 1944.
3. Calls on UN Member States and international organisations to ensure an independent and impartial
investigation of international crimes committed on the territory of the temporarily occupied Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and bring the perpetrators to justice, as well as to adopt a decision to recognise the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria as temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation and condemn the crime of genocide against the Chechen people.
