Celebrating the great Feast of Christ, the Day of his Resurrection, the anniversary of his victory over death, our thoughts rush not only to the distant past, when the One who brought the light and the sword of the new faith to the world, who enveloped people with its flame and led them under the banner, was resurrected them on a journey of thousands of years.
This holiday gave and gives people the strength to endure the lack of enlightenment, the troubling everyday life of everyday reality and to go with faith towards the future victory – the Resurrection. This holiday is a symbol for people and nations, their aspirations, competitions and struggles. Life cannot be killed. As winter does not bind nature, but it also comes alive every year in all its beauty and strength. In the same way, the living people should not be locked in a stone tomb of four walls, should not be crushed with a stone of nothingness. He is resurrected. Each Nation had and has its own Easter. Always alive, eternal, like life, the example of Christ, who defeated death by death.
Today, not all Ukrainians will be able to celebrate the Resurrection in their homes, in the circle of their dearest and closest ones. But in the Bolshevik prisons and exiles, maybe only the memory of this holiday will give them hope for quick liberation, hope that the lightless night that still lies in darkness in the East will pass quickly and without return. What is eternal cannot die! Neither Golgotha, nor the grave, nor the watchman can stop the victorious march of Truth. It will overcome all troubles and break all obstacles. And in the light of its glory and power, It will rise!
